Lead by Permaculture practitioner Joel Kellum, you’ll see first hand the ways in which the natural form of this driftless region of Wisconsin has been modified to support sustainable land use practices. Discussions on the use of “what plant where” will be held, and you’ll also receive in-depth instruction on how to modify existing terrain in accordance with permacultural mandates.
Yoga Classes
From intensive, multi-day workshops to single classes, yogic training at King’s Hill Farm provides restorative, empowering, and balancing practices to an already natural and holistic setting. Instructor Jai Kellum will challenge you to reach your potential. You’ll emerge with a sense of peace and accomplishment.
Full day yoga events prepare you for anything, from harvesting spring greens to winter squash, working in the greenhouses with the over-wintering livestock. See the Calendar for complete details of upcoming events. Courses will occur in phases across the day for full /multi day visitors, though you are welcomed to come and drop in on a class as well. For full /multi day visitors, the day begins with breakfast, then a round of weeding out in the fields. Depending on the season, this may change to include watering, or planting, harvesting or cultivating. After a short break, you’ll enjoy a 90 minute yoga class.

Custom- designed courses are available for any class level. Additionally, Jai Kellum is a certified yoga instructor, skilled in teaching yoga to large numbers of students.
School Tours will need to be scheduled in advance in order to organize seasonal activities to coincide with the lessons of the semester, as each season has it’s own cadre of characteristics and unique measures which require time and planning to fully exploit.
