About King’s Hill Farm

At Our Core, We Are a CSA

Kings Hill Farm was originally created as a Community Supported Agriculture farm. Since the Kellums arrival in 2008 Kings Hill Farm can guarantee our members and customers that all of our produce and products are grown or collected right here on Kings Hill Farmland. We stand by the ideal that claims a regular diet of seasonal foods and vegetables does more for developing minds and bodies than does an occasional purchase of organic spring mix. With a consistent diet free of pesticides, herbicides, hormones or experimental GMOs you can be assured that the food we produce for your family will be wholesome, and healthy, with no side effects or warning labels. No need to ask your doctor if our products are right for you.

The Kellum Family

Kellum Family '08Joel and Jai Kellum began pursing their interest in organic vegetable farming in 1996 by becoming interns at Prairie Dock Farm in Watertown WI. Through the season the young couple began to learn their strengths and weaknesses in the rugid terrain of farming. They continued their pursuit and understanding at Avalanche Organics from 1998 – 2007. Now here at Kings Hill Farm they are so grateful for the opportunity to use all of their knowledge collectively to create a wholesome atmosphere for their farming techniques.

Joel Kellum, Farm Manager

Growing up in Caribou, Maine, Joel was fortunate to see 10 feet of snow during the winter months, and incredible summers filled with outdoor activities. He carries that passion with him today (though he’ll pass on that much snow). Joel has completed certification in Advanced Permaculture . He is inspired to raise all the animals and bees on King’s Hill Farm. Joel has integrated his knowledge of growing vegetables since 1996 and his fresher knowledge on animal husbandry, and edible forest design and maintenance.
